About Me
Welcome to jacobaframian.com, a website devoted to sharing my work in journalism across formats (print, digital, podcast, and TV). I graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with concentrations in Sports Communication and Journalism with a minor in Digital Video Production.

I'm a sports reporter for a local nonprofit newspaper, The Highlands Current, covering high school sports. I report on Haldane Central High School athletics, attending sporting events, writing about games, and forming professional relationships with the coaches I interview. I also work for FanSided's The Pride of London, an online publication covering the English Premier League team Chelsea F.C. I recently completed an internship at SportsGrid as a content intern, making videos posted on social media. I was then promoted to work as an independent contractor for SportsGrid, where I've been doing production work, editing clips on a show called "The Early Line." The clips are edited on Wildmoka and then put into Descript to be uploaded to YouTube.

At Marist, I worked for the school sports paper Center Field as the softball beat reporter for three years, writing game recaps and feature stories. Additionally, I gained TV production experience working for the Red Fox Report, Marist College Television (MCTV), and the Red Fox Network on ESPN+.

I was part of a team that launched a new show called The Red Fox Report, similar to ESPN's SportsCenter but solely covering Marist College athletic highlights. I worked behind the scenes, mainly as a playback operator responsible for loading, organizing, and playing all the highlights.
I have a passion for both sports and history, which I try to incorporate into my work. I'm eager for new opportunities that expand my experience in journalism as I build my career.
